What to check: Ask directly â or check the privacy policy for language about data retention. How long do they keep your data after you revoke access? Good answers: "immediately deleted" or "within 30 days." Bad answers: silence on the topic.
5. "What happens if you get breached?"
What you're really asking: If attackers compromise your servers, what do they get?
This is the question nobody asks because nobody wants to think about it. But it's the most important one.
Good answer: "If our servers were compromised, attackers would not gain access to your Google data because we don't store it. They would find revocable OAuth tokens, which you can invalidate with one click."
