Total Football Studio: The Software
Hundreds of users in weeks

A full software product built from an empty folder: a web app where football coaches draw and animate tactics, a native iPhone and iPad app on the App Store, team accounts, live sessions and paid plans. Hundreds of users signed up in its first couple of weeks.

Hundreds of users in weeks

The first line of code was written on 9 August 2026. Hundreds of coaches signed up within the first couple of weeks, all from organic content. A native app followed on the App Store, and on 2 October paid plans went live. The iPhone app went from first line of Swift to public launch in about two weeks.

/ The challenge

Where the bottleneck actually was

Football coaches plan tactics on whiteboards, in slides or in clunky desktop tools. None of them let a coach draw a move, press play, and watch the players actually run it, then send that to the team as a video. We wanted a product that did exactly that, on the web and on a phone, good enough for coaches to pay for.

Existing tools only draw still pictures. Coaches wanted the board to move.
It had to work on a laptop in the office and on a phone on the training ground.
Coaches work in staffs, so one person's board had to be shareable and editable by a team.
It had to be good enough that people would pay for it, not just try it once.
/ What we built

A system built around the real workflow

We designed and built the whole product ourselves. The web app is a tactics board: you place players, draw runs and passes, and the board animates them phase by phase. Coaches can record their voice over the board and export it as an MP4, present live to a room with a share code, keep a private squad with player photos, and work together in team accounts. Then we wrote a fully native iPhone and iPad app in SwiftUI (no web view inside), sharing the same accounts and boards, and shipped it to the App Store.

Module 01
An animated tactics board: players, ball, runs and passes, played back phase by phase
Module 02
Voice-over recording on top of the board, exported as an MP4 video
Module 03
Live present mode: a share code puts the board on any screen in the room, in real time
Module 04
Private squads with player names, numbers and photos, kept in private storage
Module 05
Team accounts with seats, invites and shared boards
Module 06
A native SwiftUI iPhone and iPad app that reads and writes the same boards as the web

How your business could use this

1

Founders with a software idea

We take you from an idea to a working product that people can sign up to and pay for, on web and mobile, in weeks rather than quarters.

2

Businesses replacing spreadsheets

If your team runs on a spreadsheet and a WhatsApp group, the same approach gives you your own internal app with logins, roles and shared data.

3

Companies that need a real mobile app

We build native iPhone and iPad apps that share one backend with your website, so customers see the same account everywhere.

/ Questions

Common questions

How long does it take to build a SaaS product like this? +

Total Football Studio had its first line of code on 9 August 2026 and real users within weeks; paid plans went live on 2 October. Every product is different, but we show a working version from the first week.

Is the iPhone app a wrapped website? +

No. It is written natively in SwiftUI, with no web view inside, and it reads and writes the same data as the web app.
